About The Position
The Grinder performs repetitive production operations and manual tasks, with training provided. The role involves safely operating and maintaining equipment, completing production and quality inspections, meeting production standards, accurately documenting work, and keeping the work area orderly in accordance with 6S standards.
Requirements
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing and walking, repetitive hand and arm movements, bending and twisting, assisted pushing and pulling, and lifting up to 45 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Follow company and OSHA safety rules, understand machine safeguards, identify and report hazards, and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Load and inspect parts; lift stringers and pans; change wheels; make minor CNC adjustments; perform machine maintenance; and monitor blade thickness.
- Inspect products for quality using micrometers and/or visual inspection.
- Inform supervision of production or quality problems.
- Maintain the minimum standard production rate.
- Accurately report production-part counts, scrap, and labor hours using required paperwork.
- Keep the work area clean and orderly in accordance with established 6S standards.
- Perform special assignments and other duties as assigned.
