About The Position

Taylor Sudden Service provides worldwide distribution of genuine Taylor OEM parts and forklift service for equipment designed, manufactured, and marketed by Taylor Machine Works, Inc. It is backed by parts and service centers, nationwide dealer support organizations, and factory-trained service technicians. Sudden Service, Inc. is a subsidiary of the Taylor Group of Companies, a third-generation family-owned business based in Louisville, Mississippi, since 1927. The Cleaner Grinder inspects lift trucks to determine repair needs and processes burned parts by cleaning, grinding, checking for bends and bevels, making required adjustments, and delivering completed parts to inspection. The role also processes scrap material and delivers it to the scrap hopper.

Requirements

Ability to operate a hand torch and track torch.
Ability to operate a brake press.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Previous forklift experience.

Responsibilities

Inspect lift trucks to determine the extent of repairs.
Unload the burning table.
Clean and grind all burned parts and assign them a part number.
Check burned parts for bends and bend them as required.
Check burned parts for bevels and bevel them with a hand torch or track torch as required.
Deliver completed parts to inspection.
Burn scrap material (skeletons) to desired lengths and deliver it to the scrap hopper.
