About The Position

The Grinder operates grinding equipment to shape, smooth, and finish metal components. The role involves interpreting blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings; inspecting parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications; and using precision measuring instruments. The employee also sets up and maintains equipment, follows safety procedures and uses required PPE, keeps the work area clean and organized according to 5S standards, and collaborates with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

The position is based in an industrial/manufacturing setting with exposure to metal dust, noise, and moving machinery. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and frequent bending, twisting, and repetitive motion. Overtime may be needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

• Previous grinding, machining, or metal fabrication experience.
