RF Engineer II

Sierra Space•Broomfield, CO
•$93,075 - $128,000

About The Position

The RF Engineer II designs, develops, and tests RF systems and components for space-based applications, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, and RF amplifiers. The role requires an intermediate understanding of electrical circuits, components, design tools, and design tasks. The engineer troubleshoots more complex RF problems with guidance and mentorship from experienced engineers and collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet performance and reliability requirements and integrate RF systems into larger systems. The position involves conducting performance testing and validation, using electrical design tools and equipment, preparing and maintaining technical documentation and reports for traceability and compliance with industry standards, and staying current with emerging RF technologies and industry trends. The role also includes contributing to requirements management, systems integration, technical risk management, and verification and validation activities.
