About The Position

Encore Fire Protection is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its Finance team at the Pawtucket, Rhode Island headquarters. The role supports day-to-day receivables management across the growing service business and works closely with Operations, Service, and Account Management to maintain effective communication and processes. The specialist manages assigned customer accounts, supports billing and collections, reconciles payments, resolves billing issues, and maintains accurate documentation and aging reports. The role is hands-on, with responsibility for helping keep cash flowing, customers informed, and internal teams aligned. During the first 30 days, the specialist learns Encore’s systems and workflows, including ServiceTrade, Sage, Esker, and other AR technologies; shadows peers; and processes invoice payments. By 60 days, the specialist partners with AR colleagues, supports assigned locations, assists with collections follow-up, reconciles payments with the Cash Applications team, and works with Operations to resolve billing issues. By 90 days, the specialist takes ownership of assigned locations, communicates directly with customers, manages collections and reconciliations, and maintains system documentation. Longer term, the specialist helps refine AR operations and may grow responsibilities as the business scales. The role requires one to three years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, or a related accounting role, though recent graduates with relevant coursework, internships, or transferable experience are encouraged to apply. The stated hourly range is $25–$28, commensurate with experience, with an opportunity for a results-driven bonus based on personal output and effectiveness.
