Revenue Operations Manager

RIS Rx•Irvine, CA

About The Position

The Revenue Operations Manager owns the systems, data, and reporting used by the RIS Rx commercial organization. The role administers HubSpot for business development and client success, builds and maintains Sigma reporting, and manages the data connections between commercial systems, the data warehouse, and finance. It designs and maintains pipeline, forecast, bookings, renewal, and performance reporting for commercial teams, leadership, the board, and investors, while ensuring the underlying data is accurate and trustworthy. This is both a data engineering and operations role. The manager translates how business development and client success teams work into practical HubSpot designs, builds dashboards used by the business, writes SQL, maintains data connections, and partners with finance on key metrics. The role owns systems, data, definitions, and reporting, but not the forecast number, pricing decisions, or finance's books. Marketing campaign configuration and attribution in HubSpot are owned by the VP, Growth; this role establishes the data standards. Reporting involving restricted client data must follow RIS Rx data handling policy, using aggregate views and minimum-necessary data and excluding restricted data from shared or published outputs. Performance is evaluated against annual-plan targets reviewed quarterly, including timely and reconciled pipeline, forecast, and bookings reporting; HubSpot data quality; dashboard adoption; an on-time quarter-end bookings close with no unexplained variance to finance; accurate and timely commission statements; and the turnaround and accuracy of reporting requests.

Requirements

  • Four or more years in revenue operations, sales operations, or business analytics supporting B2B sales and client success teams.
  • Hands-on HubSpot administration experience, including pipelines, custom properties and objects, workflows, permissions, and reporting.
  • Direct exposure to how business development and client success teams operate inside HubSpot, with the judgment to design systems around their workflows.
  • Dashboard-building experience in Sigma or a comparable tool such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI, and a demonstrated ability to learn new platforms quickly.
  • SQL proficiency, including joins, CTEs, and window functions, and the ability to build models and reconciliations from raw tables.
  • Experience building and maintaining data connections, including CRM and application APIs, integration tools, and a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Databricks.
  • Finance fluency covering bookings versus revenue, contract value and recognition concepts, commission plan mechanics, and reconciliation practices.
  • Ability to work directly with a controller and FP&A.
  • Advanced Excel skills, clear written documentation, and ability to explain a data definition to both a seller and a controller.
  • Self-starter who can own problems end to end in a small company without a large team behind them.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in pharmaceutical services, healthcare analytics, or another regulated data environment, including work under restricted data handling policies.
  • Python or dbt experience for data modeling and automation.
  • Experience in a PE-backed company producing board and investor reporting.
  • Commission plan administration experience, using a dedicated tool or spreadsheets.
  • HubSpot or Sigma certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Own HubSpot configuration for business development and client success, including objects and properties, pipelines and stage definitions, required fields and validation, workflows and automation, permissions, and data hygiene.
  • Translate team workflows into system designs that capture necessary data with minimal friction, and enforce standards for stage criteria, close dates, next steps, and amount conventions.
  • Design, build, and maintain Sigma commercial reporting, including pipeline and forecast, bookings and quota attainment, pipeline creation and stage conversion, renewals and expansion, rep and pod performance, and board and investor views.
  • Build reusable data models and document reporting definitions so metrics are consistent across views.
  • Build and maintain data connections among HubSpot, the data warehouse, Sigma, finance and planning systems, and other business data sources.
  • Write SQL for data models, reconciliations, and ad hoc analysis.
  • Own end-to-end data quality, including deduplication, field standardization, and reconciliation across HubSpot, contract records, and finance.
  • Run the weekly pipeline and forecast reporting cadence, hygiene and stale-deal reporting, slippage and conversion analysis, forecast accuracy tracking, and quarter-end bookings close.
  • Reconcile closed-won deals with executed contracts and invoiced revenue.
  • Partner with finance on bookings definitions, revenue-recognition inputs, commission calculations and plan administration, pricing workbook data, and monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Keep contracted, verbal, and expected values reported separately and consistently.
  • Maintain account assignments, territory and pod structures, and quota records; produce attainment reporting and commission statements with finance; and support annual planning with capacity, productivity, and coverage analysis.
  • Train business development and client success teams on HubSpot standards, maintain the data dictionary and process documentation, and respond to questions.
  • Measure adoption and improve system design when teams work around the system.
  • Follow RIS Rx data handling policy for reporting involving restricted client data, using aggregate views and minimum necessary data and excluding restricted data from shared or published outputs.
