About The Position

Hoxton Circle is seeking a hands-on Revenue Manager for a temporary assignment covering a leave of absence. The role offers an opportunity to apply technical revenue accounting expertise and work closely with leadership. It does not involve managing staff. The assignment lasts a minimum of six months, with strong potential for extension. The client is conducting in-person interviews and would like to hire as soon as possible.

The position is based in San Francisco, California, and requires working on-site four days per week and remotely from home one day per week. The ideal start date is November 16. The hourly pay rate is $70–$75.

Requirements

• Strong, hands-on ASC 606 and SaaS revenue accounting experience.
• Ability to independently analyze contracts and resolve revenue recognition issues.
• Solid balance sheet reconciliation experience, including deferred revenue, accounts receivable, and customer deposits.
• Proficiency with NetSuite.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and clear communication.
• Full commitment to the minimum six-month assignment.
• Ability to work on-site four days per week and remotely one day per week.

Responsibilities

• Independently review customer contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Prepare or review revenue schedules and provide technical accounting guidance.
• Support month-end close, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review deferred revenue, accounts receivable, and customer deposit balances; investigate discrepancies and resolve outstanding items.
• Prepare revenue reporting and support external audits.
• Improve accounting processes.
