About The Position

At Maverik, Retail Team Members help create an exceptional experience for every customer. The role is cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store and includes preparing fresh food, assisting customers, keeping the store clean and well stocked, and supporting the team wherever needed. Team Members deliver Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) customer-service behaviors, prepare recipes, maintain food displays, and adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment. The position offers career and growth opportunities, including promotion from within and consistent raises. Starting pay is $13.02–$15.02 per hour. Full- and part-time opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask.
• Have schedule flexibility for a 24/7 store, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Obtain a food handler permit if required by the applicable store, county, or jurisdiction.
• Meet the physical requirements of frequent standing, walking, handling, horizontal reaching, reaching above shoulder level and below the waist, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, pushing, and potentially lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by consistently demonstrating Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors.
• Transition between roles, engage customers, and stock supplies.
• Prepare Maverik recipes and ensure food displays are clean and ready for customer use.
• Keep the store looking its best and help it run smoothly.
• Adapt quickly to changing situations and provide service in a fast-paced environment.
• Work as part of a supportive team and assist wherever needed.
