About The Position

As a Retail Team Member at Maverik, you’ll help create an exceptional experience for every customer. The position is cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store and includes preparing fresh food, assisting customers, keeping the store clean and well stocked, and supporting the team wherever needed. Team Members deliver Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) customer-service behaviors, maintain appealing food displays, and adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment. Stores operate 24/7, so schedule flexibility may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Starting pay is $13.02–$15.02 per hour. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Be flexible to work schedules that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Obtain a food handler permit if required by the applicable store, county, or jurisdiction.
• Work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Meet the physical demands of frequent standing, walking, handling, horizontal reaching, reaching above shoulder level and below the waist, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, pushing, and lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by demonstrating Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors with every customer.
• Transition between roles, engage customers, stock supplies, and maintain appealing food displays.
• Prepare Maverik recipes and keep food displays clean and ready for customer use.
• Adapt quickly to changing situations and provide service in a fast-paced environment.
• Help keep the store running smoothly and assist wherever needed.
