About The Position
As a Retail Team Member at Maverik, you will help create an exceptional experience for customers by preparing food, assisting customers, keeping the store looking its best, and supporting the team. The position is cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store and involves working in a fast-paced environment where duties may shift as needed. Stores operate 24/7, so schedule flexibility may be needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Team Members receive an employee fuel discount and 50% off food and drinks, and are eligible for annual profit sharing. Full-time Team Members have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, $20,000 in company-paid life insurance, parental leave, and education assistance or reimbursement. Requirements
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask.
- Have schedule flexibility, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Obtain a food handler permit if required by the applicable store, county, or jurisdiction.
- Be able to work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Meet the physical demands of the position, including frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing, and possibly lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by consistently demonstrating Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors with every customer.
- Transition between roles, engage customers, stock supplies, and maintain appealing food displays.
- Prepare Maverik recipes and ensure food displays are clean and ready for customer use.
- Adapt to changing situations and provide service in a fast-paced environment.
- Help keep the store running smoothly and assist wherever needed.
