About The Position

The Retail Team Member supports all aspects of the retail store, the Market, and satellite retail stands during individual events, as well as external non-food vendors such as photography. The role helps ensure excellent and innovative products, world-class customer service, and budgeted profitability.

Requirements

• Must be able to work weekends.
• Prior experience operating a cash register and balancing a cash drawer.
• Ability to communicate in a positive, friendly manner with patrons.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• One year of customer service experience with the general public preferred.
• Prior experience in the retail or merchandise industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers as needed with outstanding customer service.
• Operate an electronic cash register and credit card machine.
• Perform basic mathematical computations.
• Balance the drawer and manage daily income.
• Communicate with the public in a tactful, polite, and friendly manner.
• Maintain stock and inventory counts.
• Assist in unloading, lifting, and carrying merchandise from trucks and storage areas, and place it in designated areas.
• Alert management immediately regarding mistakes or adjustments to the cash drawer.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
