About The Position

The Retail Team Member works in centralized processing at Goodwill North Central Texas's Campus location. The role sorts, hangs, and categorizes merchandise for grading and pricing, and uses a computerized grading system to price donated products while meeting established production quotas. Team members move products between staging, work, sales, and shipping areas using material-handling equipment. They also help keep stations efficient, follow Kaizen processes, perform cleaning throughout store areas, and take on other duties as requested. The position is full time, with hours from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.; days off vary.

Requirements

Ability to operate a computerized pricing system and make pricing decisions based on product quality.
Ability to sort products based on quality and hang or pack products for shipment.
After in-house training, ability to successfully operate various types of material-handling equipment.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
Team-player mentality and ability to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals or quotas.
Ability to meet physical demands including walking, stooping, standing, reaching up to 6 feet (or using a ladder), pulling, pushing, and consistently lifting 50 pounds; heavier lifting, pulling, or pushing is sometimes required.
Good physical stamina and ability to stand for prolonged periods and move throughout the facility.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment with noise, some temperature extremes, and dust.
Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members.
Provide documentation to satisfy I-9 requirements and complete a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.

Responsibilities

Sort, hang, and categorize merchandise for grading and pricing.

Move products between staging, work, sales, and shipping areas using a pallet jack, hand jack, flat bed, or dolly.
Ensure individual work stations operate efficiently and follow Kaizen processes.
Perform necessary cleaning functions in all store areas.
Sort products by quality and hang or pack products for shipment to store locations.
Perform other duties as requested.
