About The Position
The Processing Team Member sorts donated items, identifies valuable finds and recyclable materials, prepares merchandise for the sales floor, and loads and unloads carts safely and efficiently. The processing team works together to care for donated items and provide customers with appealing merchandise, while supporting the organization’s community-service and environmental mission by keeping reusable and recyclable goods out of landfills.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Attention to detail.
- Eager to sort donations and search for valuable items.
- Neat and organized.
- Able to work as part of a team with a diverse group of coworkers.
- Enjoys completing a high volume of work each day.
Responsibilities
- Sort donated items and identify items with resale value.
- Help identify recyclable items and divert them from landfills.
- Prepare merchandise for the sales floor.
- Load and unload carts safely and efficiently.
