About The Position

As part of the New Balance retail leadership team, the part-time Retail Team Lead assists with opening and closing the store, driving results, and delivering a world-class experience for guests. The role leads by example through New Balance’s Core Competencies and provides a positive leadership presence on the sales floor.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational experience.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the retail business, which may include weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 4 lbs. frequently and a maximum of 8 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to kneel or squat frequently.
• Ability to move product boxes weighing up to 50 lbs., with assistance if necessary.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to climb ladders occasionally and climb and descend stairs frequently, depending on location.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of retail supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be a positive leadership presence on the sales floor and communicate and coach professionally with associates.
• Drive store key performance indicators through associate training and development.
• Deliver a great guest experience using the GUEST service model.
• Open and close the store.
• Follow safety and reporting regulations, including proper lifting procedures.
