About The Position

As part of the New Balance Retail Leadership Team, the part-time Retail Team Lead assists with opening and closing the store, driving results, handling operational duties, and delivering a world-class guest experience. The Team Lead provides a positive leadership presence on the sales floor and leads by example through New Balance’s Core Competencies.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational experience.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as business needs require.
• Ability to lift 4 pounds frequently and a maximum of 8 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to move product boxes weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance if necessary.
• Ability to kneel or squat frequently, stand for extended periods, climb ladders occasionally, and climb and descend stairs frequently, depending on location.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of retail supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive leadership presence on the sales floor and communicate and coach associates professionally.
• Help achieve store key performance indicators through associate training and development.
• Assist the store manager with scheduling and lead floor moves as needed.
• Deliver a strong guest experience using the GUEST service model.
• Open and close the store; maintain inventory control and follow operational procedures.
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring talent.
• Follow safety and reporting regulations, including proper lifting procedures.
