About The Position

The Retail Team Lead (RTL) supports the day-to-day operations and management of the store and donation area under the leadership of the Store Manager and District Director. The role helps ensure efficient and cost-effective operations through customer service, donated-goods processing, quality control, and maintaining a productive workforce. The RTL assumes management responsibilities when the Manager or Assistant Manager is absent, including opening and closing and overseeing daily store operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One to two years of retail sales experience preferred.
One or more years of management or supervisory experience preferred.
Basic computer skills.
Good time-management and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.
Ability to multitask, make quick decisions, adapt to change, and work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holiday, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Assume management responsibilities in the absence of the Manager or Assistant Manager, including opening and closing and day-to-day store operations.
Manage and influence the team by communicating company goals daily, weekly, and monthly.
Complete sales transactions accurately and efficiently and maintain proper cash accountability at POS registers and the safe.
Supervise and assist with training and development of Team Members.
Ensure incoming donations are handled and processed according to GWH policies and procedures.
Help ensure apparel and hard goods are rotated on time according to GWH policies and procedures.
Operate store systems accurately and complete financial and statistical counts, including donor counts and production standards.
Perform other duties assigned by Management.
Demonstrate professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork with customers and team members.
Adhere to GWH policies and procedures, loss prevention and safety regulations, guiding principles, and applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain punctuality, dependable attendance, and an appropriate appearance.
Work safely, maintain good housekeeping, keep aisles and fire-exit pathways clear, and keep work areas neat and clean.
Meet performance indicators related to sales, donations, payroll, profit, retention, customer service, change roundup, team-member hours, administration, reporting, safety, and LMS training.
