About The Position

The Retail Team Lead (RTL) assists with the day-to-day operations and management of the store and donation area under the leadership of the Store Manager and District Director. The role helps ensure efficient and cost-effective operations through customer service, donated-goods processing, quality control, and maintaining a productive workforce. The RTL may assume management responsibilities when the Manager or Assistant Manager is absent.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holiday, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of retail sales experience.
• One or more years of management or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assume management responsibilities in the absence of the Manager or Assistant Manager, including opening and closing and overseeing day-to-day store operations.
• Manage and influence the team by communicating company goals daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Complete sales transactions accurately and efficiently and maintain proper cash accountability at POS registers and the safe.
• Supervise and assist with the training and development of Team Members.
• Ensure incoming donations are handled and processed according to GWH policies and procedures.
• Help ensure apparel and hard goods are rotated on time according to GWH policies and procedures.
• Operate store systems accurately and ensure completion of financial and statistical counts, including donor counts and production standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
• Demonstrate professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork with customers and team members.
• Multitask, make quick decisions, adapt to change, and work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Follow GWH policies and procedures, loss prevention and safety regulations, guiding principles, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.
• Maintain punctuality, dependable attendance, and an appropriate appearance.
• Work safely, maintain good housekeeping, keep aisles and fire exit pathways clear, and keep work areas neat and clean.
