About The Position
TJ Maxx merchandise associates are responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. Associates follow operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes customer service, processing transactions and merchandise, maintaining sales-floor standards, supporting store culture and safety, and contributing to shrink reduction. The position is located at the TJ Maxx store at 663 Foothill Boulevard, La Cañada, California. Starting pay is $16.90 to $17.40 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
