About The Position

Retail Store Associates work in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s health services. Associates provide attentive, compassionate service; perform cashier and sales-floor duties; help keep departments stocked and operational; support store opening and closing as needed; and may assist pharmacy personnel, including through regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development. The role contributes to CVS Health’s goal of making health care more connected, convenient, and supportive.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly to move objects, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating additional items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ path to better health.
