About The Position

The Merchandise Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandise, loss prevention, safety, and labor standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates contribute to store culture, merchandising, merchandise processing, recovery, and shrink-reduction efforts, and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers while modeling established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Ring customer purchases and returns accurately and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor accurately and according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
