About The Position

The Soccer Factory is seeking a passionate, results-driven Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of its soccer specialty retail store in San Marcos, Texas. The manager is responsible for driving sales, delivering an exceptional customer experience, developing employees, managing inventory, and ensuring operational excellence. They will lead by example and foster a positive, team-oriented culture reflecting the company’s commitment to the soccer community. The role includes leadership and team management, sales and customer experience, store operations, inventory management, merchandising, community engagement, and administrative responsibilities. The manager will represent The Soccer Factory at community events and support partnerships with local clubs, schools, colleges, and professional organizations. The position requires at least three years of retail management experience, strong leadership and sales skills, and experience with POS systems and retail inventory management. Preferred qualifications include soccer knowledge, specialty or sporting goods retail experience, familiarity with Shopify POS or Lightspeed, team uniform or club sales experience, and English/Spanish bilingual ability. The role requires evening, weekend, and holiday availability as business demands, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop retail team members.
Create weekly employee schedules to maximize productivity while controlling labor costs.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
Foster a positive, energetic, and accountable work environment; lead by example in customer service, professionalism, and work ethic.
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
Ensure customers receive expert product recommendations and exceptional service.
Build relationships with local clubs, teams, coaches, schools, and organizations.
Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
Promote loyalty programs, events, promotions, and new product launches.
Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits, and POS operations.
Maintain company merchandising standards and visual displays.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment.
Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing.
Receive and process incoming shipments; perform inventory and cycle counts.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and coordinate transfers and replenishment with purchasing staff.
Minimize inventory shrink through loss prevention practices.
Execute seasonal floor sets and product launches; maintain attractive displays and accurate pricing and signage.
Analyze product performance and recommend merchandising adjustments.
Represent The Soccer Factory at community events, tournaments, and promotional activities.
Support partnerships with youth clubs, schools, colleges, and professional organizations.
Assist with special events, product launches, and World Cup promotions.
Review daily sales reports and key performance indicators.
Manage payroll within budget and complete operational reports accurately and on time.
Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Achieve sales targets, maintain customer satisfaction, control inventory shrink and labor costs, develop and retain employees, and ensure operational excellence and brand consistency.
