About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and store operations. The role provides friendly, compassionate service, handles cashier transactions, maintains the sales floor, supports store opening and closing activities, and helps keep departments such as photo and beauty stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel, including working shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development, and promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Ability to meet the stated physical requirements, including standing for sustained periods, lifting and exerting the specified amounts of force, and close visual acuity.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate additional items when needed.
Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, keeping departments stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities for growth and career development.
Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
