About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s services. The role includes providing attentive, compassionate service; completing cashier duties; maintaining the sales floor and inventory; supporting store opening and closing activities; and helping other departments, including photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates are expected to promote CVS services and loyalty programs. The position is full-time, with 40 anticipated weekly hours and availability requirements covering all days of the week. All shifts are flexible, and every other weekend is required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal and read or visually inspect small parts and details.
• Must be available for the stated schedule: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m.–5 p.m. All shifts are flexible, and every other weekend is required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer assistance locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
