About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring a seasonal Retail Stock Support team member for the Burbank Center Rack. This fast-paced role involves continuous movement and collaboration with teammates to create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere and a quick, easy customer experience. Team members help keep the store clean and clutter-free and may work in different areas of the store, including Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and unloading freight, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling customer orders, preparing and shipping orders, and using inventory management systems to scan, process, and research shipments. The role also supports clean, organized selling floors and stockrooms and provides general store support, such as preparing special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures. Depending on assignment, team members may also assist customers, operate point-of-sale systems, support fitting rooms, maintain merchandise presentation, and promote Nordstrom Rewards.

Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment assignments, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to packing and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
Depending on assignment, help keep the salesfloor runway-ready through re-merchandising and straightening.
Depending on assignment, assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using a point-of-sale system, bag items, and handle bulky or heavy items.
Depending on assignment, greet and assist customers in fitting rooms and sort and return clothing to the salesfloor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in store technologies and follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
