About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a passionate, customer-focused Senior Sales Associate to create an inviting store experience and help customers discover instruments and equipment that support their musical interests. The role combines sales, product expertise, customer relationship building, merchandising, store operations, and peer leadership. The associate helps achieve sales targets, supports other team members, and serves as a keyholding member who may open or close the store as needed.

The position offers $19.84–$24.80 per hour plus commission, depending on background and experience. Requirements

• Passion for music and a solid understanding of various instruments and products.
• A proven track record in sales and experience exceeding targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to influence and inspire others to achieve goals.
• Flexibility to work additional hours if needed and to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment and help customers explore their musical interests and find appropriate gear.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets; upsell and cross-sell instruments and accessories.
• Maintain expert knowledge of products, including guitars and recording equipment, and help increase product knowledge among others.
• Build strong customer relationships and help fellow associates foster relationships in the local music community.
• Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
• Guide and mentor team members, supporting them with customer interactions and operational tasks.
• Serve as a keyholding team member and open or close the store as needed.
