About The Position

Eurest is hiring a full-time Retail Specialist at BCBS, 600 E Lafayette, Detroit, Michigan. The role ensures proper food assembly and service and maintains sanitation and safety in the department’s service and utility areas. The Retail Specialist works alongside other retail associates and responds to customer needs while helping oversee daily department operations. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, with hours that may vary. Front-of-house experience is required. Pay is $19.00 to $20.00 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.

Front-of-house experience required.

Responsibilities

Handle cash properly and complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including weekly inventory, cash reports, and production records.
Respond to customer needs and requests and resolve customer concerns.
Assist with menu planning and ordering using appropriate company programs and initiatives.
Ensure the department is opened and closed in accordance with departmental security policies.
Assist in selecting and orienting associates and oversee associate training.
Ensure associates appropriately complete their daily and weekly tasks.
Comply with federal, state, local, and health department regulations and help ensure compliance with company policies and practices for food safety, personal safety, and loss prevention.
Follow HACCP guidelines when receiving, assembling, and distributing food supplies to ensure food quality and safety.
Identify and use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer directions and MSDS/SDS sheets.
Perform other duties as assigned.
