About The Position

As a Retail Shift Manager at Lidl, you will help maintain the store’s standards by motivating and supporting the team, taking responsibility for the shop floor, and helping the store run smoothly in a fast-paced environment. You will manage store operations and colleagues when the Store Manager and Deputy Store Manager are absent, and support customers and colleagues throughout your shift. The role offers opportunities to develop as a leader and progress within the company, supported by training. The position is a 35-hour contract with various shifts, including weekends. Pay is £15.45–£15.95 per hour, with additional pay of £2.00 per hour for bank holiday work and £3.50 per hour for night shifts. Employment is conditional on satisfactory references and, if requested, a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Responsibilities

Manage store operations and colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager and Deputy Store Manager.
Handle freshness, cash processes, inventory, and stock management to help shifts run smoothly.
Provide customers with a high-quality experience whenever they visit the store.
