About The Position

The Retail Security Officer maintains a safe environment at The Mall of Victor Valley in Victorville, California by monitoring activity, assisting visitors, and responding to incidents. The role includes controlling entrances and traffic, patrolling buildings and surrounding areas, escorting personnel and materials, inspecting security and fire exposures, completing daily activity and incident reports, responding to alarms and emergencies, and communicating daily with supervisors. The position requires vigilance, discipline, clear and professional communication, calmness in stressful situations, reliability, customer-service skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The officer must be able to lift 50 pounds, perform physical tasks, and ride a bike and/or Trikke safely at intervals during a shift. Applicants must complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of security, life-safety, loss-prevention, CCTV systems, or access computer systems experience.
• State Guard license.
• Valid state driver license.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to ride a bike and/or Trikke safely during the shift.
• Willingness to submit to a background investigation and drug screen; employment offer is contingent on successful completion of the background investigation.

Responsibilities
