About The Position

The Retail Security Officer helps maintain a safe environment at The Mall of Victor Valley in Victorville, California. The role involves monitoring activity, assisting visitors, and responding to incidents. The officer performs security patrols and inspections, manages entrances and traffic, prepares reports, responds to alarms and emergencies, and communicates with supervisors. The position requires physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and safely riding a bike and/or Trikke periodically during the shift.

This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling and weekly pay. Candidates must meet the stated education, experience, licensing, and driver’s license requirements. Employment offers are contingent on successfully completing a background investigation, and candidates must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of prior experience in security, loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems, or access computer systems.
• A state Guard license.
• A valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to ride a bike and/or Trikke safely.
• Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen; an employment offer is contingent on successful completion of a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Control entrances and manage traffic.
• Patrol buildings and surrounding areas.
• Escort personnel and materials.
• Conduct inspections of security and fire exposures.
• Complete Daily Activity and Incident Reports.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies.
• Communicate daily with supervisors.
• Monitor activity, assist visitors, and respond to incidents.
• Safely ride a bike and/or Trikke periodically throughout the shift.
