About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and throughout aisle locations, including end caps. They may also provide quantity information for about 45% of scanned products. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to scan products. They complete weekly display scans across the entire store and may perform Custom Projects that provide more detailed information about products in main stocking locations. These projects occur almost every week and typically add 1–2 hours per store. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and work independently. The assigned stores are visited every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks.

Base hours average 4–10 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional special-project hours are frequently assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The position involves continuous physical activity and offers some flexibility in working hours.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
