About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates perform in-store data collection at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks, using a downloadable app on their mobile phone. While scanning, they provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned.

The position averages 4–10 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is often assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Associates complete weekly display scans of the entire store and may perform custom projects that gather more specific details about products in main stocking locations. Meeting weekly deadlines is critical. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in hours, subject to client requirements. Continuous physical activity is required throughout the workday shift.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Tech savvy.
