About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. They also provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to scan barcodes throughout each store. The role averages 5–10 base hours per week across all assigned stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional special projects, typically adding 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Display scanning takes place weekly and may take several hours; custom projects requesting further product details occur almost every week.

Associates must meet weekly reporting deadlines and work independently with attention to detail. The work involves continuous physical activity and offers some flexibility in scheduling, subject to client requirements. Store assignments may include convenience, grocery, drug, pet, and mass merchandise retailers. The role is permanent and part-time, with work scheduled across 52 weeks per year, including holiday weeks.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
