About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store data at assigned local retailers each week, throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They also report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The role averages 5–10 base hours per week across assigned stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional special-project work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and work dependably and accurately. The position involves continuous physical activity and offers independence and some flexibility in scheduling. Paid travel is provided at the hourly rate, excluding the first and last 15 minutes.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout a store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Tech savvy.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned local retailers each week within the required deadlines.
• Scan product barcodes on displays and throughout aisle locations, including aisle end caps, using a downloadable mobile-phone app.
• Provide quantities for about 45% of scanned products.
• Complete weekly display scanning throughout the assigned store.
• Complete custom projects that request more specific product details in main stocking locations.
• Deliver accurate data reliably and meet weekly deadlines.
