About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan products and are asked to provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

The role involves weekly in-store data collection at assigned retailers throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates complete display scanning across the entire store, and may also complete Custom Projects that provide additional product details for clients. Base hours average 4–10 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned, with higher demand from January through June. Associates must meet weekly deadlines. The position offers independence and some flexibility in working hours, while requiring continuous physical activity during shifts.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with at least the minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout a store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Tech savvy.
