About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan barcodes and provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned.

The role involves weekly in-store data collection at assigned local retailers, with store types including grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores. Associates complete display scanning across the entire store every week and may also perform Custom Projects, which request more detailed information about products in main stocking locations. Custom Projects occur almost every week and can add 1–2 hours per store in those weeks.

The position averages 3–6 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours are frequently assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Associates must meet weekly deadlines, including during holiday weeks. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in hours, while requiring continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
