About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a part-time Retail Scan Associate to collect in-store data at assigned local retailers each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations throughout each store, including aisle end caps. They also report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The role averages 5–12 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional work, usually 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Display scanning takes place weekly and can take several hours per store; custom projects occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to 2 hours per store. Associates must meet weekly deadlines. The position offers independence and some flexibility in scheduling, while involving continuous physical activity during the work shift.

The route includes grocery stores in Wichita, Kansas (67206 and 67226); a Walmart in Wichita (67207); a convenience store in Benton, Kansas (67017); and a pet store in Wichita (67209). Available workdays vary by store and include Sunday through Thursday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
