About The Position

Drywall Finishers at Higgins Group, Inc. work within the Residential and Commercial Walls and Ceilings department, supporting business, institutional, and large-scale construction projects. Compensation is hourly, with final compensation based on skills, experience, and qualifications, and is paid weekly.

Requirements

Must provide and maintain personal drywall finishing tools.
Ability to perform physical job duties.
Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces.
Must pass UA/PCP drug and alcohol screening.
Employment contingent on E-Verify authorization.
Must comply with safety policies.

Nice To Haves

4+ years of drywall finishing experience.
Ability to work safely on drywall stilts.
Experience in fast-paced environments.
Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Prepare and finish drywall surfaces to meet client and industry quality standards.
Identify and correct imperfections, including cracks, seams, and surface irregularities.
Install corner bead and reinforcement materials.
Prepare surfaces for final paint or coatings.
Follow OSHA and company safety policies.
Maintain clean and organized job sites.
Coordinate with leadership and project teams.
Communicate progress and material needs.
Mentor less experienced finishers.
