About The Position

Responsible for drywall finishing and painting on residential and commercial construction projects. The role includes preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, completing touch-ups, and ensuring finished work meets company quality standards. The employee must be able to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The position involves travel to construction, job, and warehouse sites and work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels.

Requirements

• Construction drywall finishing and painting experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of paint products, surface preparation, application methods, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to identify and correct minor surface imperfections and safely use and care for painting tools and equipment.
• Detail-oriented, dependable, punctual, able to follow instructions, work with minimal supervision, and communicate professionally with staff, management, clients, and other trades.
• Ability to read and understand technical instructions.
• Reliable transportation and a valid photo ID.
• Must successfully complete a required background check and pass a drug screening.
• Willingness to follow company safety policies and construction-site procedures.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical work involving standing, bending, reaching, and climbing ladders.
• Ability to travel to construction, job, and warehouse sites, work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels, and remain alert while following safety procedures throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and protect work areas; sand, scrape, patch, caulk, and clean surfaces, including minor drywall imperfections.
• Apply paint, primer, stains, sealants, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment on walls, ceilings, doors, trim, baseboards, and other surfaces.
• Inspect completed work for consistent color, smooth coverage, and professional appearance; complete touch-ups and correct imperfections before project closeout.
• Follow project plans, specifications, and supervisor instructions, and coordinate with other trades to meet project schedules.
• Maintain painting tools, equipment, and materials; clean work areas and remove debris when tasks are complete.
• Follow job-site safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment, and perform other related duties as assigned.
