About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They collect data used to improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app and are asked to report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

The position is permanent and part-time, with base hours averaging 9–14 per week across stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional special projects frequently add approximately 1–2 hours per week per store, with higher demand from January through June. Associates complete weekly display scans and may complete custom projects providing more detail about products in main stocking locations. Work is performed at assigned stores, and weekly deadlines are critical. The role involves continuous physical activity and offers workplace independence and some flexibility in hours. Stores may include grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise retailers, as well as independent retailers.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach six feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
