About The Position

The Retail Sales role is a seasonal position in Nordstrom’s Holiday Gift Shop at Natick Mall. The ideal salesperson is passionate about fashion and styling and can cultivate and grow a customer following both digitally and in-store. The position focuses on achieving sales goals, building customer relationships, offering personalized service and style advice, and developing fashion and product expertise.

The schedule varies by week depending on business needs. Employees may occasionally be asked to perform duties in a department other than the one they were hired into. The listed pay range is $15.25 per hour; commission may also apply depending on merchandise sold, and the position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

• Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve in-store and digital sales goals using selling tools, including text and social media.
• Build lasting relationships with customers.
• Provide customer service on customers’ terms.
• Give customers honest and confident feedback about style and fit.
• Build expertise through fashion and product knowledge.
• Help keep the department customer ready by filling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, marking down prices, and light cleaning.
• Grow customer relationships by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
• Work a schedule that varies according to business needs and, occasionally, perform duties in another department.
