About The Position

As a Retail Sales Specialist at Spectrum, you will promote and sell the company’s products and services to existing and new customers. You will represent Spectrum in its retail stores, enhance the customer experience, and contribute to a culture of exceptional customer care. The role offers a base pay of $18.00 per hour, with the potential to earn $22.95 per hour through commission and incentives. Employees can also receive free and discounted internet, TV, and mobile services.

The position requires a flexible schedule, regular attendance, lifting up to 35 pounds, prolonged standing, adherence to Spectrum’s dress code, and working in a moderately noisy retail environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in cash handling and accurate payment transactions.
• Comfort with personal technology, including mobile devices and video platforms, and proficiency in computer applications.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, manage multiple tasks, and handle change effectively.
• Familiarity with goal- and incentive-based work environments.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Effective communication with employees and customers in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building partnerships across the organization.
• Self-motivation, a competitive spirit, and a desire to exceed sales goals.
• Positive and professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the customer experience while meeting sales, service, and operational goals.
• Identify sales opportunities and create customer experiences through product support and education.
• Build positive customer relationships by listening effectively, overcoming objections, and communicating the value of Spectrum products.
• Maintain knowledge of Spectrum products, pricing, promotions, and visual standards while minimizing product losses.
• Help maintain a welcoming store atmosphere and a clean retail experience.
• Communicate effectively, follow policies, resolve issues, and participate in training programs.
