About The Position

As a Retail Sales Specialist at Spectrum, you will represent the company in a retail store and promote and sell products and services to existing and new customers. The role focuses on improving the customer experience, achieving sales, service, and operational goals, and providing exceptional customer care. Compensation is $20.00 per hour base pay, with potential earnings of $25.40 per hour through commission and incentives. The role also offers free and discounted internet, TV, and mobile services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in cash handling and accurate payment transactions.
• Comfort using personal technology, including mobile devices and video platforms, and proficiency with computer applications.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, manage multiple tasks, and handle change effectively.
• Familiarity with goal- and incentive-based work environments.
• Ability to perform strongly in a fast-paced team environment.
• Effective communication with employees and customers in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Interpersonal skills to build partnerships across the organization.
• Self-motivation, a competitive spirit, and a desire to exceed sales goals.

• Flexible schedule and regular attendance.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the customer experience while meeting sales, service, and operational goals.
• Identify sales opportunities and create customer experiences through product support and education.
• Build positive customer relationships, listen effectively, overcome objections, and resell the value of Spectrum products.
• Maintain knowledge of products, pricing, promotions, and visual standards while minimizing product losses.
• Help ensure a welcoming store atmosphere and clean retail experience.
• Communicate effectively, follow policies, resolve issues, and participate in training programs.
