About The Position

Sun Tan City is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to provide products, services, and recommendations through friendly client relationships. This is a high-energy role in a positive, fast-paced salon environment, with opportunities to earn performance bonuses and advance. Base pay is $13.00 per hour or more; average earnings of $15.00 per hour are not guaranteed and reflect team members who meet performance and training criteria. The role includes serving clients, making product and service recommendations, meeting minimum sales requirements, and helping keep the salon clean. Associates may work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.

Requirements

Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Ability to provide professional customer service and engage with clients.
Ability to make product and service recommendations and meet minimum sales requirements.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced salon environment.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment and bend down to pick up trash and towels.
Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
Ability to perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.

Responsibilities

Provide professional customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.
Build positive client relationships and understand and meet client needs.
Recommend products and services.
Meet minimum sales requirements.
Use basic computer skills and knowledge.
Multitask by cleaning tanning beds as clients leave while engaging with arriving clients.
Help maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
Work cohesively with the team in a fast-paced salon environment and follow company policies and procedures.
