Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate to deliver WOW! Customer Service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. The role involves providing trustworthy automotive advice, recommending products and promotions, supporting sales goals, and maintaining inventory and store operations. Associates work with managers and teammates to foster a positive, productive store environment, follow safety and loss-prevention procedures, and use AutoZone systems to build product knowledge. They also use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and contribute to a motivated, productive store environment.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, keep the store organized, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies, and support proper financial management.
- Complete assigned tasks using structured processes and follow company safety policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise as needed.
