Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams deliver WOW! Customer Service by helping customers find the right automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, provide advice, support sales, and help maintain store operations and a positive retail environment. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will exceed customer expectations, recommend products and services, and support store performance. You will work with managers and teammates, maintain merchandise and store organization, follow point-of-sale and safety procedures, build knowledge of automotive products, and use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions. The position offers opportunities for career growth in an essential industry serving the motoring public.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise; follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies; and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
