About The Position

Sun Tan City is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate for its Hendersonville location. The role offers a base pay of $13.00 per hour or more, with performance bonuses; the stated average earnings of up to $16.00 per hour are not guaranteed and reflect team members who meet performance and training criteria. Team members provide customer service and recommendations for products and services, maintain sales requirements, and help keep the salon clean. The work takes place in an upbeat, fast-paced salon environment and may require working independently during a shift as business needs require.

Requirements

Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, and other items from floors.
Ability to perform salon cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met professionally.
Build good relationships with clients, understand their needs, and make recommendations for products and services.
Maintain the minimum sales requirements.
Use basic computer skills and knowledge.
Multitask by cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and engaging with new clients as they arrive.
Help maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
Work cohesively with a team in a fast-paced salon environment while following company policies and procedures.
