About The Position

JEGS is hiring a full-time, on-site Retail Sales Associate at 751 E. 11th Ave., Columbus, OH 43211. The role provides customer service in a high-performance automotive parts retail setting, helping customers identify and purchase the right parts and accessories. Pay is listed as $20. The schedule includes weekday and weekend shifts and may vary based on store opening and closing responsibilities.

Requirements

Previous customer service, retail, or call center experience.
Strong knowledge of high-performance automotive parts.
Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
Professional and friendly demeanor.
Basic computer skills.
Strong math skills.
Passion for helping customers.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Ability to effectively resolve customer concerns.
Ability to pass an automotive knowledge assessment before hire.
Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 100% of the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Previous sales experience.
ASE Certification.

Responsibilities

Greet in-store customers and answer inbound customer calls.
Identify appropriate automotive parts for customers’ needs and troubleshoot parts questions by recommending solutions.
Process customer orders accurately through the sales system and complete transactions using the POS system.
Package customer purchases, restock merchandise, maintain product displays, and keep the sales floor clean, organized, and stocked.
Count cash drawers at the beginning of each shift and perform assigned opening and closing duties.
Process merchandise returns according to company standards.
Work directly with vendors to quote custom or specialty parts.
Recommend additional tools or products customers may need for installation.
Meet or exceed individual performance goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
