About The Position

Boscov’s is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate to join its retail team. The role works in a fast-paced sales environment, developing relationships with customers and addressing their needs efficiently. The associate builds customer confidence, provides accurate information, promotes merchandise, and establishes a professional, personalized rapport to complete sales and deliver a positive customer experience.

Requirements

• Ability and desire to actively engage customers, sell merchandise, and provide excellent customer service.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with basic math skills.
• Ability to learn selling skills and operate a POS register and telxon.
• Availability to work varied days and hours as scheduled, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Prior retail sales experience and/or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell merchandise and provide customer service according to company standards, including greeting and acknowledging customers and maintaining product knowledge.
• Maintain the appearance of the selling floor.
• Perform marketing activities, such as opening new Boscov’s charge accounts, to meet company goals.
• Complete transactions and paperwork accurately and efficiently while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain awareness of advertised merchandise and help receive, fold, straighten, and replenish stock.
