About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate adheres to operational, merchandise, loss prevention, and safety standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The role includes processing customer purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing and merchandising merchandise, and supporting store recovery and shrink reduction. Associates contribute to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, respect, and constructive feedback. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain merchandising standards and follow established merchandising procedures.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
