About The Position

Verizon is hiring a full-time, onsite Retail Sales Associate who is fluent in English and Spanish. The associate works in a Verizon retail store, helping customers identify their needs and recommending technology products and services through attentive customer service and sales conversations. The role also includes ongoing training and development in store operations, merchandising, and inventory. Associates may contact interested Verizon customers by phone or text and may represent Verizon at sponsored community events. The position offers hourly base pay plus individual sales commissions; eligible bilingual employees may receive additional annual compensation after passing a language assessment. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is available subject to its terms and conditions. The scheduled workweek is 40 hours, with evening, weekend, and holiday availability required. Employees may also have opportunities to pick up additional shifts during busy periods.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
Fluency in English and Spanish.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; schedules are provided four weeks in advance.
Openness to picking up additional shifts, typically during summer, November through December, and/or peak vacation periods.

Responsibilities

Generate retail sales by using technology knowledge and customer service to expand the Verizon network.
Discover customers’ needs by building connections and asking relevant questions.
Present product insights and solution recommendations to provide complete sales solutions.
Close sales by communicating effectively and offering intuitive technology solutions.
Participate in ongoing training and develop skills in merchandising, inventory, and other operational functions.
Make outbound calls and send text messages to current Verizon customers interested in Verizon products and services.
Engage with the community, including at off-site Verizon-sponsored events, to grow a customer base.
